Winter Jam – 2010

As any big show (outside of town) – We all meet up and caravan down to the event. As usual I had no clue where we were going. Last year Winter Jam was lake side and completely outdoors, this year it was at the Ocean Center off A1A, about 10 minutes farther into Daytona. This year’s events were a lot closer together this year, however it was completely disorganized.

As soon as we arrived in Daytona everyone was trying to figure out how and who was loading into the Ocean Center – and what was going on. Last year the show was entirely outside and it was set up so much better. Everyone could come and go as they pleased there was a much bigger turn out of cars and people. There were cars everywhere, this year everything was confined to smaller areas and the interior of the convention center (minus the air-cooled show a block away and the few cars that were outside). All the Car Owners who entered got trapped inside the convention center and couldn’t leave until 9 o’clock (where as last year it was come and go as you pleased even if you were entered). Last year was free entry, this year was $17 per person (even if you entered $30exhibit/40showing your car – your passenger had to pay $17 to get in) – which was ABSOLUTELY ridiculous (not to mention parking). I think most people were a good bit disappointed this year with the set up. However since most people made the trip to Daytona – everyone still made the best of it. ( Ps: next year can we get a schedule of the bikini contest and when stuff is happening?! )

I also would like to thank everyone from CFL Euro that met up at the mall for caravaning down – it’s always a good time on the road.
