Wu-Tang Clan has just released a new track today titled “Execution in Autumn.” Produced by Frank Dukes. The track sees Inspectah Deck, Rae, RZA and U-God flowing into the bars in a typical Wu way.
Slammed Society is the car show portion of the event; While there were tons of cars that could pass as show-cars in the vendors area – the showcase is a clean line of vehicles without any interruption from one end to the next. We spent a good bit of time in this area because the media tent was also here.
Roaming around the vendors, pits, and paddock areas we saw a ton of familiar faces; lots of friends and cars from the internet – we’d never seen before. We got there on Saturday morning to cover everything, so we missed a lot of the time-attack event, but we did catch a couple of the cars in the pits. I tried to get pictures of all the models for everyone and almost all of the cars too.
Curren Caples is just one of those dudes who shreds everything that he skates. Whether its a park, backyard pool, or the streets he always throws down something worth watching. If you don’t know what i’m talking about just watch the video and hopefully you’ll understand.
Like all Formula Drift events – I shot way more pictures than I know what to do with – so, this is part 1 of (my) coverage. I didn’t post any of the coverage of the practice or the pre-lims; so I missed some of that action – but I started at top 32 worked my way in til the end of the event. These photos are from the first half before half-time (Top 16).
The big talk of the weekend at Road Atlanta, was all the funkiness that happened during/after the rain. Drivers losing control before initiating drift, going off track, and a few good bumps. But none more interesting than this one: Frederic Aasbo vs. Vaughn Gitten Jr. where Vaughn Gitten drove over the front corner of Frederic’s Scion TC initiating the wreck.
