I showed up right as the monsoon began – but it wasn’t to long after the rain died down, everyone was soaked, and the drifting started up. The event was a lot of fun, mostly because of all the model-trolling, and fun we had with all our friends taking pictures of nonsense (which I will eventually post). For now check out the WDrift coverage below and more will be up soon!.
Continuing the coverage from Joey Newcombe, the second half of the photos.

Like all Formula Drift events – I shot way more pictures than I know what to do with – so, this is part 1 of (my) coverage. I didn’t post any of the coverage of the practice or the pre-lims; so I missed some of that action – but I started at top 32 worked my way in til the end of the event. These photos are from the first half before half-time (Top 16).
The big talk of the weekend at Road Atlanta, was all the funkiness that happened during/after the rain. Drivers losing control before initiating drift, going off track, and a few good bumps. But none more interesting than this one: Frederic Aasbo vs. Vaughn Gitten Jr. where Vaughn Gitten drove over the front corner of Frederic’s Scion TC initiating the wreck.
The side of FD Atlanta you haven’t seen..
10.4Km of getting rowdy; with nothing less than Redbull’s iconic cinematography.
Not only does Rotiform make wheels for show cars, they also make race wheels. Tested here by Matt Field himself at Formula D Long Beach 2013.
Possibly the best drift video I have seen so far (I’m we’ll see him top it with the next FD stop); Just watch!
Second Part of the first episode of Say Howdy! Get Rowdy! was released and recaps Chelsea’s experience at FDLB

Central Florida Race Complex hosted the “Rasta Drift” drift event for 4/20… I mean April 20th. The event was open to drivers of all kind, from well know vehicles through out the drift world, to amateurs getting their first major digs into the sideways culture.
After 18 hours on the road last weekend for Mystery Meat 2.0, going to ImportAlliance was not even remotely on my agenda. But my friend picked up an Orange Edition STI and the scene points where too tempting to not ride down with him. To me IA is about two things, see a ton of crazy modified cars and hanging out with friends, and we did both this weekend.
Hoonigans released their 2013 roster video showing off the drivers with a few highlight clips from the season opener at Long Beach:
Fresh from the guys at BC Racing – The Say Howdy! Get Rowdy Series continues on to season 2. This episode is about Chelsea Denofa at Formula D – Long Beach and the process it took them to get there
